Turn an idea into a Linear ticket

Describe an idea, review the ticket draft, and create it in your connected Linear workspace.

Before you start: Connect your Linear workspace in Cortex, then start a conversation.

  1. Explain the idea

Describe what you want to build and why it matters. Ask Cortex to turn it into a Linear ticket.

“Create a Linear ticket for a quick-note button after meetings, so people can capture a thought while it is fresh.”
  2. Refine the draft

Review the title, description, and team in the ticket card. Add details through the conversation or edit the fields before filing it.

  3. Create the ticket

While the conversation is still active, choose Create and wait for confirmation that the issue was created.

Cortex’s native Linear ticket card with a quick-note feature idea, title, description, team, and Create button.
The native ticket form lets you review the title, description, and team before choosing Create. Example content.

An unfinished draft can expire when the conversation connection ends. If that happens, ask Cortex for a fresh draft before trying again.
